Sages

Desert Sage is very strong and is best burned with other smudge like white sage, cedar or sweet grass. It has a very potent effect on negative energies.

Use:
Use this smudge as a transformer and eliminator of heavy and evil influences. If used inside, open a window.

Buffalo Sage or White Sage is the most masculine of the incenses used for smudging. It is a powerful purifier.

Use:
To burn, put several leaves in the center of the shell and light, preferably with a wooden match. Bring the smoke around the people and places you wish to purify. Fan with a feather to put out the flame and activate smouldering.
If indoors, open a window a few minutes.

Prairie Sage is Blue Eagle's preferred sage. It grows wild in the prairies of western and central Canada.
There are two types of the same sage: the one in leaf is male and more commonly used by men and the one in seed is more commonly used by women.
This sage cleanses the atmosphere, the energy and sanctifies the environment.

Use :
Light the extremity and wave slightly to support combustion.
If indoors, open a window to ventilate.
Be thorough when extinguishing the wand. If there remains the slightest ember, the wand may continue to smoulder and even become a fire hazard.
