L’aromathérapie (étymologie : latin « aroma », grec « ἄρωμα – arôma » = arôme, aromate; grec « θεραπεία – therapeia » = soin, cure is the medical use of essential oils and plant extracts. Essential oils are odorous substances coming from flower or plants, and can be extracted in three possible ways : cold pressure, solvent extraction ans steam distillation. Because of the great need in raw material, essential oils have an expensive cost, sometimes as much as 35kg of raw materail needed for one liter of oil. And it is much more for rose oil. With a very low yield, essential oil of rose is still a rare and precious essence. Thus, for more than 2000 Kg of fresh flowers, you get a liter of essential oil.
At Invocation, our perfumes are made of great quality natural essential oils. Our suppliers assure us that they proceed a responsible harvesting, that the extraction is made with high quality plants, with constant, high theraputic and olfactive capacities. Each of our seven perfumes are made of sixteen to twenty-seven plants. The synergy between those plants multiply the theraputic capacity of each Invocation fragrances.
Essential oils like sage, cedar or white spruce that are in our aromatherapy perfumes have high purification capacities but are also antisceptical and antibacterial. Sage, added to sweetgrass and Mandarin that are present in the Miwah, create an energizing perfume made to bring back positive energies and favorable circumstances. Blue Eagle created this perfume to respond to his female colleagues who wished a more feminine body perfume. He made it possible using sweetgrass, that is the most feminine herb used by First Nations. They would use it to keep harmony in their home, to bring back positivity or they would mix it with other herbs for baket brading.
Miwah is as efficient in the ambiant air as wore as a body perfume, on the wrists, behind the ears, on the solar plexus or for immediate effects : under the feet. That way we can wish letting go the afternoon coffee that can disturb our night sleep.
